Anthony Joshua prepares to battle the American YouTuber in an eight-round match which will be streamed in real-time on the streaming platform.
British boxer Joshua said he will "overwhelm entirely" Jake Paul and "defeat" his opponent as the two fighters met personally to publicize the upcoming bout.
Former two time world title holder Joshua battles YouTuber-turned-boxer Paul - in what is, on paper, a massive mismatch - at Miami's venue on December 19th.
Boxer's Mindset
"I will injure his face and damage his physique. I aim to demonstrate I'm the better fighter," Joshua, 35 years old, stated.
"I plan to overwhelm him. That's the boxer's mindset.
"I will genuinely try to hurt him. That's my goal."
Civil Interaction
Despite those words, a relaxed Joshua and internet personality Jake Paul - usually recognized for his dramatics - were respectful and kept it respectful with each other.
Paul instead criticized former Joshua's opponent the Cameroonian fighter and called him "a joke" after the Cameroonian rejected a match opportunity.
Taking Aim at Fury
Anthony Joshua, meanwhile, criticized British opponent Fury - and declined a £1m bet 'The Gypsy King' says he will place on a victory for Paul.
"Jake Paul is superior to Tyson Fury - he's present here," Joshua stated.
"I respect him for that."
Legitimate Fighter
In spite of saying he intends to punish Paul, Joshua declined to comment unfavorably about his opponent's pugilistic talent.
"Jake is a credible opponent," he said.
Jake Paul's History
Paul - who initially became famous on the television network - has mainly fought mixed martial artists or declining opponents since becoming pro.
He lost to British fighter Tommy Fury in 2023.
Financial Attraction
However, the relative newcomer is still one of the sport's biggest commercial attractions, regularly earning huge paydays.
Prediction and Belief
The 28-year-old forecast a KO victory in round four or five and asserted he would stop the much-anticipated match between Joshua and Fury, which is reportedly in the works for two years from now.
"It will be me versus Tyson Fury in the coming year," Jake Paul said.
Size Disparity
As the two fighters participated in the customary stare-down, with their physical disparity evident, it emphasized just how surprising this entire matchup is - and how amazing it is that the match is really going ahead.
